Today I’m sharing my Paper Pumpkin Alternatives for April 2022. This kit is all about Change is Beautiful. I have to be honest, I struggled with alternatives because the cards themselves were soooo cute. Two sets of cards are Z fold cards where each panel shows a change. The other card flips from day to night. This was a great kit!
A word of warning – my pictures aren’t the greatest because I was literally out in the woods when I was working on these. The lighting in the cabin was not the freatest. And, I brought my ow lighting but the bulbs didn’t work.
Today’s Project – Change Is Beautiful
Here’s a look at my 8 alternatives. This kit was so colorful and so pretty.
Alternatives 1, 2 & 3
These alternatives are grouped because they were all taken from one card.
Alternate #1
For this card, I took the first panel and matted it with Crushed Curry. I used the die cuts from the kit. And, I stamped the butterfly from the stamp set and inked it using blending brushes.
Alternative #2
For this card, I took the second panel and matted it with Melon Mambo. Glossy Dots make a colorful accent.
Alternative #3
This card uses the full panel from the Z-Fold. The butterfly is from the kit. And, the idea of stamping the sentiment in the cloud is also from the kit!
Alternatives 4, 5, & 6
These cards are made from the second card in the kit.
Alternative #4
As with the previous cards, I cut the first panel of the Z-Fold, matted it with Melon Mambo, and put it on a Basic Black card base. I used the Label Me Lovely punch for the sentiment. The little flowers are from the Sending Smiles bundle.
Alternative #5
This card uses the second panel from the Z-Fold, matted with Crushed Curry, and put on a Basic Black card base. The little flowers are from the kit.
Alternative #6
I love this one! It’s so bright despite the black!. Most of this is from the kit and I added a butterfly and some additional flowers from the kit. The butterfly was colored with blending brushes
Alternatives 7 & 8
This set is very whimsical.
Alternative #7
Although the card was supposed to be sky, I looked at it and saw a sea. So, I added the boat using the Sailboat Builder punch. The sentiment and envelope images are from the Let’s Set Sail stamp set.
Alternative #8
For this card, I used the inside of one of the envelopes and the Wisteria Wisteria bundle. I die-cut the flowers using the dies.
I hope you enjoyed today’s alternatives. Now, it’s time to see what the rest of the collaborators have in store for you. So, sit back, grab a beverage and enjoy the hop!
The new catalog goes live next Tuesday. Stop by to see some fun samples from the new catalog!
These alternatives turned out fabulous. I especially like the sailboat! Great job.
Candi, these are all amazing, but I especially love the sailboat because it is so “out of the box.” Well done!
