Today’s Hop – Fancy Folds
Don’t miss this hop! Honestly, you’ll see dozens of amazing cards, each of which has a fancy fold. For those of you who love fancy folds – hop along!
Today’s project
I have a great fancy fold for you today and it’s really quite easy. Just a couple of score lines, fold the card, and decorate! Let’s take a look.
I just love how this card came out! First, I love the Art Gallery stamp set. It makes it so easy to get beautiful images using two-step stamping. And, by varying the color combinations, you get a totally different look! For this card, I used Flirty Flamingo for the base and Poppy Parade for the overlay. Who knew those two colors would look so great together? I admit I was just playing around with some colors to see what worked! I knew I wanted colors in the red/pink family to pop against the black so I stamped a bunch of combinations and settled on this one! Plus the Granny Apple Green flowers really pop!
Today’s Color Palette
This cards starts as a 5 1/2″ X 11″ piece of Basic White cardstock scored at 1 1/4″, 5 1/2″ and 9 1/4″ along the 11″ side. The layers were cut from the Pattern Party DSP which is only available as a host. This paper has so many amazing patterns in it. And, my favorite part is that one side is brightly colored and the other side is black & white. Those are my two favorite gotos, so you can see why I love this paper. Did you know that you don’t have to host a party to get this? All you have to do is buy $150 of product from my online store and then pay $3 in overages. Or, you can buy $180 of product and get it free!
Here’s a look at one side. This is mostly the inside but the far right and far left pieces fold to be on the front.
Here’s a look at the front, although part of it folds to be on the inside.
How would you like to have detailed instructions on how to make this card? Well, place a $50 order in my online store, and not only will you get the instructions for this card, but, you’ll also get instructions for these 29 other cards! How can you pass this up if you really love fun folds?!
Aren’t these cards amazing! And the tutorial contains step by step instructions on how to make each of these cards!
Now it’s time for some more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the hop! You should find some awesome ideas and inspiration as others share their projects made with the Waves of the Ocean suite.
If you’d like to try to recreate this card, you can find a list of the products I used at the end of this post. Need a demonstrator or a catalog? Drop me a line and I’ll put one in the mail.
