It’s time for another Technique Tuesday. And, today’s technique is mini cards. I’m showcasing the soon-to-be retiring 2020-2022 In Colors. Now is the time to buy them before they sell out in April!
Today’s Project – Artistically Inked Mini Cards
I love making 3 x 3 mini cards. They are a perfect size to tuck a little note into a gift or to hand out at the supermarket. Of course, you can’t mail them because they’re too small. I also love making them because the smaller space isn’t too intimidating to fill up!
For each of 2020-2022 In colors, I stamped the small flower image from the Artistically Inked stamp set. Then I looked for a coordinating green for the leaf. And, sometimes that coordinating green was another In Color which was a bonus! After stamping, I looked for a coordinating layer that I mounted onto the 3 x 6 Thick Basic White cardstock. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in the In Color. But, no card is really complete without some bling so I added the coordinating square gems.
Today’s Color Palette
I am sure going to miss most of these colors! Cinnamon Cider made perfect gingerbread projects. Misty Moonlight is a great shade of blue. And Just Jade and Polished Pink look so good together. I’m going to use them a couple of times before Just Jade is gone on May 1. The only one I didn’t use a lot was Bumble Bee. It wasn’t in my wheelhouse, I guess.
BOnus Container
I love to make multiple cards and put them into one of Stampin’ Up!’s acetate card boxes. Did you know that not only can you get the acetate boxes for normal-sized cards, but you can also get them for the 3 x 3 sized cards? As you can see, I used all 5 colors on the box top. And I also added some of the square gems. I’m not sure if I like that many gems. But, I wanted odd numbers and three wasn’t quite enough. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Make the INside Pretty
I stamped the small 3 flower images on the inside of each card and on the front of each envelope. Even mini cards can’t have nekkid envelopes!
I hope you enjoyed my Artistically Inked Mini Cards and that you’re inspired to make some mini cards of your own.
Now it’s time for some more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the hop! You should find some awesome ideas and inspiration as others share their projects made with the Waves of the Ocean suite.
Well, that’s it for me today. Remember if you need a catalog or have a question, I’m just an email away!
