Creating kids cards with the Birthday Bonanza suite is a no brainer. Simple cards practically make themselves. Take a look.
Today’s Project
These are made with a Whisper White card base, a layer of cardstock, a layer of DSP (Designer Series Paper), and a stamped sentiment layered on cardstock. In this case, the DSP does all the heavy lifting, from being the focal point on the cards to creating the color palette. Also, by surrounding the DSP with a thin mat of coordinating cardstock, the DSP really pops. Take a closer look at two of the cards.
Make the Inside Pretty
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in the same color as the front sentiment. Then I added a strip of DSP from the reverse side of the front DSP. It dresses the inside up just enough and doesn’t compete with the busier pattern on the front.
Don’t Forget the Envelope
For the envelope, I had two ideas. I could just stamp the character on the front and call it a day. But, instead, I lined the outer flap of the envelope with the same DSP as on the inside. So coordinated!
I’ll leave you with one last look at the cards and envelopes. If you’d like to make this card, the instructions are below. And, at the end of the post, you can find a list of the supplies I used. Clicking on any item will take you to my online store where you can purchase them.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. If you don’t yet have a demonstrator, I’d love to be yours. If you ever have any questions or need a catalog, please feel free to comment or email me. And don’t forget to Pin this post so you can find it again!
