The Bonanza Buddies stamp isn’t just for birthdays. It also makes cute new baby cards!
Today’s Project
I made two versions of the card, one for a girl and one for a boy. I used the same layout as I used for this card. It’s a classic layout that I use for all sorts of cards. One of the keys to making cards is having some go to layouts that you can use if the creative juices just aren’t flowing.
For the girl’s card, I used Whisper White, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink as a color palette. For the boy’s card, I used Whisper White, Balmy Blue, and Night of Navy.
First, I cut the the focal layer and the frame using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Then I stamped the the focal image – the koala for the girl and the lion for the boy. Then, I stamped the sentiment and layered it on the scalloped layer. I colored the epoxy heart in the color palette using the blends before adding to them to the card.
Notice the focal images are attached to a embossed layer on the card front? I embossed in with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. It adds some depth and texture to the card without overpowering the sweet focal image. I also framed it with a thin layer of colored cardstock just to make it pop.

Make The Inside Pretty
For the inside, I stamped the same focal image on the lower left of the inside of the card, leaving plenty of room to write a message for the new parents.
Don’t Forget the Envelope
I also used the same image on the front of the envelope flap.
Finally, I’ll leave you with one last look at the cards and envelopes. If you’d like to make these cards, the instructions are below. And, at the end of the post, you can find a list of the supplies I used. Clicking on any item will take you to my online store where you can purchase them.
