I’ll admit these Bonanza Buddies Tags and Toppers are a direct CASE (Copy And Share Everywhere) from the Bonanza Birthday Suite which I showcased here. But, they are so darned cute, that I just had to make them for myself. And, once I made them, I just had to share them with you!
ToDay’s Project
I particularly love the shaker tags! In a previous post, I made a shaker card, but now there’s a shaker tag! And I love the cupcake toppers. They were pretty easy to make and are perfect for a kid’s birthday party! Also, if you look closely at the picture above, you can see that the tags are resting on the gusseted bags that are part of this suite. I put some colored candies in them to give them dimension.
Bonanza Buddies Shaker Tag #1
I made this tag by cutting a Bermuda Bay tag with the Stitched Rectangle dies. Then I attached a window sheet and some foam strips. Next, I added some confetti. Finally, I covered the back with another Bermuda Bay tag. To top it off I added some Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon through the tag hole. What a super cute gift tag!
Bonanza Buddies Shaker Tag #2
The shaker part of this tag is the same as the one with the lion. I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink. Then I sprinkled it with Whisper White Embossing Powder. Finally, I used my heat tool to heat set the embossing powder. If you’ve never heat embossed, you’re in for a treat. It was the first technique I learned all those years ago and it still amazes me that the powder becomes liquid as it melts and flows together. Such a cool technique!
Bonanza Buddies Cupcake Toppers
These toppers were easy to make using the Layering Circles dies. I just cut one without scallops from solid colored cardstock and a larger scalloped one from the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper (DSP). Then, I stamped and die-cut the koala, lion, and tucan from the Bonanza Buddies stamp set and attached them to the circles. Oh, and before I attached the circles together, I glued a toothpick to the cardstock then glued the DSP over it.
