Today, I’m sharing another card using the Brewed for You bundle, but this time, it’s a more feminine card and features my favorite beverage – wine!
Today’s Project – Brewed for You
I started with a base of Crumb Cake and then added a layer of the Blackberry Bliss pattern from the new Pretty Prints DSP. Since there is no coordinating ribbon for this color scheme, I used a strip of Crumb Cake that was embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. The embossing adds some texture to the card front.
I used the wine glass image stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and then stamped the wine image using Blackberry Bliss ink. After cutting a Soft Succulent circle with the new Stylish Shapes dies, I added the wine glass with a dimensional.
After stamping the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss ink, I trimmed the ends using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I really like both the Pick a Punches. They add an interesting shape to the card and are quicker than using dies.
Today’s Color Scheme
I used the Stampin’ Up! Color Coach to determine my color scheme. It’s a wonderful tool when you aren’t quite sure what colors to use. Would you like one? Contact me here and I’ll email you a copy.
Make the Inside Pretty
Initially, I wasn’t quite sure what layout I was going to use. So I stamped and cut 3 wine glasses. After lining the inside with a Very Vanilla layer and then glued one of the extra wine glasses to it. Finally, I stamped the Thank You sentiment using Blackberry Bliss ink.
Don’t forget the Envelope
I used another of the extra wine glasses on the front of the retired Crumb Cake envelope. A Very Vanilla envelope would have worked just as well.
