Today’s card showcases the early release Eden’s Garden collection from Stampin’ Up!. The Crafty Collaborations Sketch Challenge was perfect to showcase the elements in this fabulous collection! And, it’s good to be back creating and posting after a 6-week hiatus while I dealt with a family emergency.
Crafty Collaborations
Crafty Collaborations is composed of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in multiple collaborative projects including blog hops, like this one, tutorials, and swaps to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today’s Project
Today’s challenge is a sketch which is one of my favorite kinds of challenges. I like having a layout to start with! Here’s the sketch we’re working with.
And, here’s my card.
This card uses many elements from the Eden’s Garden collection – Eden’s Garden stamp set, Eden’s Dies, Evening Everygreen Cotton Paper, and Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper.
The Painted Texture 3D embossing folder makes the cotton paper pop. Every sheet of the DSP is beautiful. Some have beautiful gold accents, others are just leaf patterns in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.
I embossed the sentiment from the stamp set using white embossing powder. The pearls placed around the sentiment strategically cover the stray white flecks. Oops!
The die-cut using Eden’s Dies and gold foil paper adds some sparkle to the card.
Make the Inside Pretty
I used two of the leaf stamps from the Eden’s Garden stamp set with Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent to decorate the inside of the card.
Don’t Forget the envelope
The same treatment as the inside of the card. Notice how the images were stamped only partially on the envelope. It looks more natural that way.
Now it’s time for some more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the hop! You should find some awesome ideas and inspiration as others share their projects made with the Waves of the Ocean suite.
Here’s one last look at today’s card.
If you’d like to try to recreate this card, you can find a list of the products I used at the end of this post. Need a demonstrator or a catalog? Drop me a line and I’ll put one in the mail. And, f you ever have any questions, please feel free to comment or email me. And, don’t forget to Pin this post so you can find it again!
