I just love the new Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper! It has multiple patterns using Silver and Rose Gold foiling. And best of all, on March 3, you can get it free with a $50 purchase! Ka-ching! I also used the Forever Blossoms Bundle on this card because who doesn’t like saving 10% to get both the stamps and dies??
Today’s Project
It doesn’t photograph very well because it is so shiny! I used the Rose Gold foil paper from the Everything is Rosy product medley which is a great deal in the Clearance Rack. I stamped the large foil image on to Whisper White cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink Then I colored it with the blends. (My favorite coloring tool!) I cut out the image with the coordinating Cherry Blossom dies and attached it with Dimensionals to a Rose Gold Foil panel cut from Nature’s Thoughts dies. These dies are part of the Coordination Product Release which is a set of products that coordinate with the Sale-A-Bration and January-June Mini Catalog products. Here’s a look at the finished card. It’s so shiny!
I use a bow maker to tie my bows. They give me a pretty every time and also let me tie bows with multiple loops. Once you get the hang of it, you can get a perfect bow every time! I’ve turned all my bow haters to bow lovers using a bow maker.
Here’s a picture of mine. You’ll find that most of my instructions will tell you how many spaces to leave between the posts to get the perfect size bow for your project. For this card, I used two holes between the posts.
You Can Make it, Too!
Forever Blossoms Meets Flowering Foils
Instructions
- Fold a piece of 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" Petal Pink cardstock in half. Crease with a bone folder to get a nice sharp crease.
- Cut the Rose Gold frame from the middle of a 5 1/4" X 4" piece of Rose Gold Foil
- Layer a piece of 5 1/16" X 3 13/16" Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper on top of the Rose Gold foil from the above step.
- Attach the frame to the card front using liquid glue. This will help it stick to the embossed DSP better
- Stamp the small flower element on a piece of 5 1/4" X 4" Whisper White cardstock and on the envelope front using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Color the flowers using the Petal Pink blends. TIP: Put a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock in the envelope before coloring to control bleed through.
- Attach the inner Whisper White layer to the inside of the card.
- Stamp the large flower image on a Whisper White scrap using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Color the large flower using the Peal Pink & Mint Macaron Blends.
- Cut out the large flower image using the Cherry Blossoms dies and your favorite die-cutting machine.
- Attach the large flower image to the card front using Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment on a Whisper White scrap using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Cut around the sentiment using paper snips, aka. fussy cutting.

- Tie a bow out of 8" of Petal Pink Metallic Edged ribbon.
- Attach the bow to the card front using Glue Dots.
Make The Inside Pretty
It only takes a minute to make the inside look special. Doing so gives that card that little bit of extra oomph! For this card, I took the small flower from the Forever Blossoms set and stamped and colored it like the front.
Don’t Forget the Envelope
No nekkid envelopes, ever! Well, maybe occasionally. But mostly I like to dress them up a bit so the recipient knows they’re getting something special. For this envelope, I did the same flower as the inside of the card. It ties the whole package together nicely!
Here’s a final look at the card with its envelope.
