Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Annual Catalog 2021-2022 Blog Hop. We can’t wait to share our creations with you. You came here from Karen Egan’s blog. Didn’t you just love her project??? In case you get lost, the list of blogs in the hop can be found at the end of this post.
I’m using the new Hand-Penned suite which I really love. First, the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper is soooo beautiful. Very delicate images that are so easy to use that you could just put it on a card front, add a sentiment, and have a great simple card!
Today’s Project
Today’s project uses all new product from the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I have to say, I really love this catalog. It has some very cool new stuff and the Hand-Penned Suite is one of them. The Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper (DSP) has beautiful, delicate images. The stamp set is an open line-art set so perfect for coloring. Don’t feel like coloring? Well, then just use the two step stamps as I did for my project!
Today’s Color Palette
The new In Colors are dreamy and coordinate beautifully with each other. See my post here for a look at all the new In Colors. I pulled the two I used for this card from the DSP since it is a layer on my card. Soft Succulent and Pale Papaya look gorgeous together.
Make the Inside Pretty
Not only do the Penned Flowers dies in this suite cut out the images from the stamp set, there is one die that creates an overlay that can be filled in with the other die cuts or layered over a stamped image.. Here I chose to use the overlay by itself to carry the theme onto the inside of the card.
Don’t Forget the Envelope
As you can see in the previous image, I decorated the envelope flap with a piece of DSP that I glued on with liquid glue and then trimmed to fit.
I finished off the card front using 3 Genial Gems, which are also part of this suite.

Hi Candi, Wow I love your card as Hand-Penned is one of my favorites from the new catalog. I also liked the structure you used in your post showcasing the front of the card, colors used, inside the card, and envelope. I plan to CASE your structure in the future.
