Crafty Collaborations
Crafty Collaborations is composed of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in multiple collaborative projects including blog hops, like this one, tutorials, and swaps to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today’s Project
Today we are hopping in support of Pride 2021. I have two projects to share with you – one today and one tomorrow. Today’s project is included in the Pride tutorial which is free for a $50 purchase in my online store. It’s chock full of inspiration, some of which will be featured on this hop. Now onto the card!
I thought the heart paper in the Pattern Party DSP (which is a host benefit) was perfect for Pride. The pattern has a rainbow of colors in it. Punching it with the Heart Punch pack created the focal images and the frame.
My favorite Pride saying is ‘Love is Love”. It pretty much sums up how I feel about Pride. If you love someone, you love them and you don’t care about gender, race, creed, etc. You love them!
I was in a quandary about how to express the sentiment because using the Playful Alphabet letters would make it too big. Then I remembered that the Love You More Than dies have the word Love as part of the Love You More Than. So, I cut out two and discarded the bits I didn’t need.
The Bermuda Bay background really makes the hearts and the sentiment really pop!
Make the INside Pretty
As you can see, I did the same heart on the inside but matted it with Bermuda Bay to have it pop on the inside of the card.
Don’t Forget the Envelope
As you can see, I used the same paper on the envelope flap, another trick of mine to decorate the envelope. I always cut the paper at 6″ X 2 3/8″. Then, I attach it to the flap using liquid glue to ensure it stays on going through the mail. Finally, I trim it to fit with my paper snips.
Now it’s time for some more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the hop! You should find some awesome ideas and inspiration as others share their projects made with the Waves of the Ocean suite.
If you’d like to try to recreate this card, you can find a list of the products I used at the end of this post. Need a demonstrator or a catalog? Drop me a line and I’ll put one in the mail. And, f you ever have any questions, please feel free to comment or email me. And, don’t forget to Pin this post so you can find it again!
