So, what is Sale-a-Bration 2021? Only one of the best time in the Stampin’ Up! yaer! For every $50 you spend on product from the Annual or new January – June mini catalogs, you get a free stamp set or free dsp or spend $100 and you get a stamp and coordinating paper! How awesome is that?
Today’s Project
So, I thought today that I would showcase a project for someone who has almost no supplies but wants to make some cards and earn a free item. Here’s my project.
Yes, once again, I used all things fabulous. Can you tell how much I love this set?! But, I also wanted to highlight a couple of simple cards and how you can make cards with only a couple of ink colors.
For the card on the left, I only used Real Red and Granny Apple Green. I achieved the 3 colors by stamping off twice for the lightest color, stamping off once for the middle color, and stamping full strength for the darkest shade.
For the card on the right, I did the same thing except I used Gorgeous Grape and Shaded Spruce. To do the leaves I used the masking technique that I talked about here.
The sentiments are both from the All Things Fabulous stamp set and were stamped on scraps of cardstock. The cards themselves are Very Vanilla notecards. I like to have some of these around so I can make a quick note to send to someone.
Now, normally, I’d show you the inside of the cards. But, in this case I didn’t do the inside of the cards. The notecards are so small that I didn’t want to take up any inside space with an image.
Don’t Forget the Envelope
As you can see above, I did decorate the envelope with an image. You’ll notice the larger purple image is stamped off the edge of the envelope. That’s because the envelopes are pretty small and I didn’t want to take up the whole envelope with the image!
Purchase Option #1
I made these cards with 3 purchases – All Thing Fabulous Stamp set ($22), Classic Stampin Spots($24), and Very Vanilla Notecards ($7) for a total cost of $53. So, why did I choose the Classic Stampin Spots? Because they are a great way to build your ink supply for a low cost. Take a look.
You get 8 colors for the price of 3 larger pads! You could use the same technique( stamping off) with the Daffodil Delight or Flirty Flamingo or Coastal Cabana to create cute note cards. And, because you’ve spent $50, you can also choose a free product from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.
Purchase Option #2
Now, let’s say you’d rather have full size ink pads. Then the total cost would be $59. The breakdown is All Things Fabulous ($22), Very Vanilla Note Cards ($7), Real Red Classic Ink ($7.50), Shaded Spruce Classic ink ($7.50), Gorgeous Grape Classic ink ($7.50), Granny Apple Green Classic Ink ($7.50).
So, the choice is yours – do you want a little bit of a variety of colors or larger sizes of just a few colors. Or, perhaps, you only want to make the Gorgeous Grape version of the card. Then, you would remove the Real Red and Granny Apple Green Classic Ink pads and add in a couple of more packages of note cards.
And, all of the options above get you a free Sale-A-Bration item! Win-Win.
