I’m hopping today with Crafty Collaborations sharing our January 2022 Paper Pumpkin alternative projects. Due to the global supply chain issues, the kits were late to ship. But they were definitely worth the wait. Such elegant supplies. I love this kit!.
Today’s Project
I ran up against time constraints and so am only sharing 4 alternatives this month. I still have a desk full of supplies, so I’m probably going to make a few more and share them if I do.
January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alterative #1
The envelopes with this kit are so elegant, so I decided to cut one apart and use it like DSP. For this card, I started with a Very Vanilla base with a layer of Gold Foil beneath the ‘DSP’. I wrapped a piece of Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the Gold Foil layer to separate the lower and upper halves. Then, I placed a double bow on the ribbon. The upper part of the card is 3 of the heart & gold elements that were part of the kit with the middle one having the sentiment stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink.
January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alterative #2
For this card, I started with a Flirty Flamingo base with the XOXO stamped using Versamark ink and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The Heart is from the Floral Heart dies. After using it to cut a heart from one of the large hearts that were part of the kit. The gold foil heart in the center was cut from the same die with Gold Foil. An arrow from the kit and a bow from Flirty Flamingo Metallic ribbon finish off this card.
January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alterative #3
This card uses the leftover center hearts from the Floral Heart dies. Don’t use just love when you can use the leftovers??? I used the same embossed vellum technique that I described in this post. I think you’ll see me use this technique a lot because Stampin’ Up! has so many folders that work well with this technique. Again, I stamped the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder. Finally, a few rhinestones from the kit finish off the front of the card and the sentiment.
January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alterative #4
The focal point on the final card uses 3 of the kit components layered on each other. The arrow is also from the kit. A bow using Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon and a few Gilded Gems finish off the card front.
Now it’s time for some more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the hop! You should find some awesome ideas and inspiration as others share their projects made with the Waves of the Ocean suite.
If you’d like to try to recreate this card, you can find a list of the products I used at the end of this post. Need a demonstrator or a catalog? Drop me a line and I’ll put one in the mail. And, f you ever have any questions, please feel free to comment or email me. And, don’t forget to Pin this post so you can find it again!
