Crafty Collaborations is hopping again today with a musical theme. My entry uses the obvious elements – the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder with the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set. It’s a double dose of music!
Crafty Collaborations
Crafty Collaborations is composed of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in multiple collaborative projects including blog hops, like this one, tutorials, and swaps to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today’s Project
Today’s card starts with a Blushing Bride base. The next layer uses Brushed Silver foil from the July to December Mini Catalog. Finally, I topped the Brushed Silver Foil with a panel from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.
For the focal background, I embossed the Brushed Silver Foil panel with Merry Melody 3D Embossing folder. It was matted on a Blushing Bride panel which was mounted on a Brushed Silver foil panel. I attached the panels to the card front using liquid glue.
I stamped the sentiment From Holly Jolly Wishes on Blushing Bride using Basic Gray ink. Then I cut it with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies. To step up the sentiment, I could have stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed it with Silver Embossing powder.
Bring On the Embellishments
As if the card wasn’t sparkly enough with the sparkly DSP and the embossed foil, I decided to take it up a notch! First I added 3 rhinestones. Then I tied a bow from White Glittered Organdy ribbon which was attached to the card front using glue dots.

Make the Inside Pretty
For the inside, I attached a panel of Basic White. Then I embossed two strips of Brushed Silver Foil with the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder and attached it to the top and bottom of the Basic White panel.
Don’t Forget the Envelope
For the envelope, I embossed the flap with the same Merry Melody 3D embossing folder.
Here’s one last look at today’s card.
Now it’s time for some more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the hop! You should find some awesome ideas and inspiration as others share their projects made with the Waves of the Ocean suite.
