Oh my goodness, I am so excited about this new strategy from Stampin’ Up! Three times a year (March, July, and November) Stampin’ Up! will release a collection of products called ‘Online Exclusives’. These products will not be in a catalog. They’ll only be available in the online store! Why does this excite me? Because we’ll be better able to keep up with trends in the stamping world. Most of Stampin’ Up!’s competitors don’t have catalogs. So their time to market is much less than ours because putting merchandise in a catalog takes time & money – pictures, proofreading, printing, and distributing.
Now you catalog lovers, don’t despair. There will still be three catalogs a year – the annual catalog and two minis each of which lasts 4 months. I love how Stampin’ Up! is doing something for everyone.
Today, I’m going to show you a sneak peek of two of the online exclusives.
Today’s Project – Irresistible Blooms from Online Exclusives
When I saw the dies in this set, I fell in love. I’ve seen similar non-Stampin’ Up! dies and really, really wanted something like them. Well, I got my wish. I had this card in my head before I even saw the Irresistible Blooms bundle. And once I saw it, I had to drop everything and make this card!
I wanted the die-cut to come together in the middle and flare at the ends. This die made that so easy. I just squished it in the middle and the ends flared naturally. And, of course, the squishy part is hidden by the flower.
I also embossed the two front layers with the cross-hatched embossing folder that is part of the 3D Embossing Basics in the online exclusive. It has two companions – a star folder and a dot folder. I can’t wait to use the dots.
Online Exclusives Details
This is the flyer for the Online Exclusives. If you scan the QR code you should see all that’s available. From the images, it looks like there is some specialty paper coming!
As a demonstrator, I was able to order some of the products early. But I know there are others coming and I have my credit card ready!
Today’s Color Palette
Black and White is one of my favorite color palettes. Come to visit and you’ll see what I mean. It’s just so elegant and can be emphasized with just a pop of any color. So, when I stamped my image, I had planned on coloring it with Flirty Flamingo. But, then I saw it and said to myself, you’re doing the black and white!
Make the Inside Pretty
The inside was easy. Just add a Basic White liner and a black die-cut and you’re done The die-cut looks great without the squish, doesn’t it?
Don’t Forget the Envelope
There is so much going on with the card and inside, that I went simple on the envelope. I just stamped the floral image using Momento Tuxedo Black ink and it was done!
I hope you enjoyed my Online Exclusives project and that you are as excited as I am about this new offering from Stampin’ Up! I hope you take some time to view it in the online store today! Let me know if you have any questions by leaving a comment below!
Now it’s time to what other have done with our limited preorder. I know I can’t wait to see the projects! So, grab a beverage, sit back and relax, and enjoy the hop!
