Today Crafty Collaborations has a Sketch Challenge which really stumped me. Take a look at the sketch.
Do you see that element at the bottom? Well, I could not think of what to put there. I thought about this for a couple of weeks. And then, one morning I woke up and had an idea. Let’s take a look.
Today’s Project
As you can see, I used a sailboat from the Sailing Home stamp set on a piece of New Horizons DSP. I love this DSP because it is so easy to use to make a scene. Add a few birds from the On the Horizon stamp set and a sentiment and the card is basically done! Of course, I mounted it on a Rich Razzleberry layer and a Gray Granite card base.
Today’s Color Palette
Make the INside pretty
The envelope and inside have the same sailboat image from the Sailing Home stamp set as the card front but are stamped using Rich Razzleberry instead of Tuxedo Momento Black ink.
If I hadn’t used dies to cut out the sailboat, this card could be called simple stamping!
Did you enjoy my take on the sketch? Was it close or way off base? Let me know in the comments
Now it’s time for some more collaborative fun. Grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy the hop! You should find some awesome ideas and inspiration as others share their projects made with the Waves of the Ocean suite.
