Sneak Peek – Hues of Happiness for Share It Sunday

My new catalog preorder is here and I’ve been having so much fun playing with my goodies. You could preorder too if you join my team! Today, I’m sharing a new suite called Hues of Happiness which is chock full of colorful flowers! So, of course, it was the first thing on my list!

Today’S Project

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base, added a Granny Apple Green layer, then another Daffodil Delight layer which was topped with a layer of Vellum embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder. Of course, I used an adhesive sheet to attach the Vellum. I definitely don’t want any adhesive showing!

I also used the new Teacup dies to cut a cute teacup from Fresh Freesia and embossed it using the Pretty Flowers embossing folder. A few pearls finished it off!

Today’s Color Palette – Hues of Happiness

I love the soft palette of this card, which I took directly from the gorgeous Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.

One of the reasons I love this DSP so much is that Blossoming Happiness dies cut out two of the patterns in the DSP. The image above shows which dies cut out which of these gorgeous flowers.

After cutting the flowers from the DSP, I arranged them as if they were pouring out of the teacup. I chose the Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and, Fresh Freesia images. Aren’t they just gorgeous? And so easy to make a bouquet with the dies!

I used Granny Apple Green ink to stamp the sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set. And, the, I , gasp, fussy cut around it because I wanted the flowers to shine, not the sentiment!

Make the Inside Pretty

For the inside, I used another of the die-cut Daffodil Delight flowers and leaves on a Basic White panel.

Don’t Forget the Envelope

Finally, I used the same die-cut from the inside on the envelope flap.
