Isn’t this just the cutest Valentine Suite? I always look forward to Valentine’s day because red is my favorite color and I get to use lots of it! This year’s Valentine offering, “From the Heart” from Stampin Up! is just fabulous.
This post walks you through all of the pieces of this suite and the other Valentine related bundles and sets. Then, in the upcoming days, I’ll be sharing projects that I’ve made using these products. Once you start looking, I know you’ll love this suite as much as I do!
Let’s start with the gorgeous Designer Series Paper that’s part of this suite. On my not so creative days, I can get the juices flowing by just looking through the paper and imagining what I can do with it. Good DSP makes designing easy as it can set the color scheme, provide a background or a focal point or create layers to add visual interest. This paper really packs a punch!
Speaking of punches, this suite also contains a pack of punches. And, even better, they’ll punch out the hearts from the first sheet of the DSP! I like punches because they are quick and easy to use and are a more affordable option than dies, especially for beginners.
These punches don’t just punch out the hearts from the DSP, they also can be used with the stamp set – Heartfelt. It’s a photopolymer stamp set which means the stamps are clear. This makes it super easy to layer the images.
I like that this stamp set also has a sentiment that’s suitable for the inside of a card. Many card makers don’t put anything inside of the card, but I think that’s only doing half the job. As you’ll see from my samples, I decorate the card front, the inside, AND the envelope.
You can purchase the punches separately from the stamp set, but if you want both – buy the bundle – you’ll save 10%!
The From My Heart Suite isn’t just about paper, stamps, and punches! There are a lot of other goodies in the suite. For instance, look at these faceted gems. They are gorgeous and add just the right amount of bling to a project!
There’s also some beautiful Real Red double stitched satin ribbon that’s so silky soft and easy to work with.
And finally, there are these cute heart-shaped foil tins. I’m thinking of making some five-minute fudge in them and giving them to neighbors as a Valentine treat. Or, if I run out of time, I’ll get some valentine kisses to fill them.
Oops, I forgot to mention the doilies. You can use them as focal points for cards or decorate the foil tins. I’m planning to do both. I’ll share the projects in a subsequent post. And, what this picture doesn’t show you is that the doilies are white on the back. So you get 3 colors!
Now as I mentioned before, you can purchase everything in the suite separately. But if you’re like me and you want it all, Stampin Up has created a suite number. That’s right. One number will put all of these goodies in your shopping bag.
The bundle includes:
- Heartfelt Photopolymer Stamp Set
- Heart Punch Pack
- From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper
- Real Red 3/8″ Double Stitched Satin Ribbon
- From My Heart Faceted Gems
- Heart Doilies
- Heart Tins
Here are a couple of samples from the Stamping Up January to June Mini Catalog. I liked some of them so much, that I recreated them. I’ll share the directions in a subsequent post.
As cool as this suite is, there are a couple of more items you might want to look at for your Valentine crafting. First up is the Heart to Heart bundle. This bundle has the Heart to Heart photopolymer stamp set and the Detailed Hearts dies. Those dies are so awesome! Of course, you can buy them separately, but I’m pretty sure when you see my samples, you’ll want them both.
The other cool thing about this stamp set is that you can also make flowers. If there’s one thing I like more than red, it’s flowers! Maybe, I’ll make a garden of hearts or just a garden.
Before I wrap up, I’d like to direct your attention to the Valentine stamp set and dies in the Annual catalog. These dies are still some of my favorites ever! Stitched frames are very on-trend and these dies give you stitched hearts. So cute!
And, of course, there are stamps to go with them. But, alas, no bundle. They were bundled last year when they were new, but not this year. Hot tip – if you like the bundle, get it when the first catalog it comes in, otherwise, you won’t get the bundled 10% discount.
And here’s a sample of a card made using the stamp set and dies.
I hope this product spotlight has piqued your interest in these awesome valentine products. I’ll be back in upcoming posts with samples and directions using all of these products.
Until then, keep on stamping!
