Today I’m showing some quick, cute cards made using the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes. The Crafty Collaborations’ Challenge this month is to use the In Colors and these Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes are perfect for this because they use all the In Colors. These are a great choice for beginner stampers because they are a great starting point for a bit of stamping and embellishment to get a great result.
Today’s Project – Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes
Here’s a look at the 5 cards I created – one for each In Color. Plus, I also made a container that looks like a card to put them in. This makes a great hostess gift. I made a similar container here. I got the idea from Lisa Curcio who has a great tutorial on how to make it.
Today’s Color Palette
I just love the new In Colors as you can probably tell since I’ve used them so often. They are bright and cheery and work well together and with other colors. For your convenience, they can be purchased as a bundle.
Today’s Project – Container
As I mentioned above, Lisa Curcio has a great tutorial on how to make this box. I used Parakeet Party for the base, then a layer of Sweet Sorbet, and then a layer of Tea Boutique DSP. I cut 3 teacups using the dies. Two of the images were stamped, and one was cut directly from the Tea Boutique DSP. 3 Sweet Sorbet Matte Decorative dots finished off the front.
The inside has a box on the right. I changed the construction a bit to allow for a double wall box. It uses a little more paper but makes the box sturdier. The box is held closed by Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon. On the right side, the ribbon end is covered by the box. On the left side, the teacup hides the end of the ribbon.
Parakeet Party Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes
For this card, I added a strip of DSP from Tea Boutique DSP, a teacup cut from the same DSP using the Teacup dies, some greenery, and finished it off with Sweet Sorbet Matte Dots. This card is perfect for a beginner stamper, especially if you leave off the greenery.
Sweet Sorbet Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes
This next card is similar to the previous card. It has a strip of DSP, a teacup cut from DSP, some stamped and cut greenery, and 3 flower elements from the Teacup dies. 3 small Parakeet Party Matte Dots finish off the teacup.
Tahitian Tide Tea Boutique Card & Envelopes
Like the previous two cards, this card has a strip of DSP, a teacup cut from Starry Sky cardstock, some stamped and cut greenery, and finished off with 3 Starry Sky Matte Dots.
Orchid Oasis Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes
This fourth card follows the same pattern as the preceding 3. One change is this time I cut the greenery from the DSP that was also used as the strip on the side. 3 Parakeet Party Matte Dots finished it off.
Starry Sky Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes
This card follows the same pattern as the previous cards – a strip of DSP, as stamped teacup topped with stamped and die cut greenery and 3 Sweet Sorbet Matte Dots.
I hope you liked today’s project. Now it’s time to check out what the rest of the Crafty Collaborators have in store. So, sit back, grab a beverage, and enjoy the hop!
